About me
Hello, I'm Omar Zoghlami. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Vienna, under the project "A new geometry for Einstein's general Relativity" (funded by the FWF grant 10.55776/EFP6).
My research interests lie in the areas of Differential geometry and Metric geometry. More specifically, I'm interested in topics from Riemannian and Lorentzian geometry. Currently, I am working on low-regularity Lorentzian geometry, focusing on the study of sub-Lorentzian geometry, the non-holonomic analogue of Lorentzian geometry.
Curriculum vitae (short version)
- 2024-present: I am a PhD student at the University of Vienna, in the project "A new geometry for Einstein's general Relativity" (funded by the FWF grant 10.55776/EFP6).
- 2022-2024: I obtained my Masters's degree in Mathematics at the University of Trento. I wrote my thesis "On the geometry of static metrics in General Relativity" under the supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Mazzieri, with final grade 110 cum laude.
- 2019-2022: I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Trento. I wrote my thesis "Classificazione di superfici differenziabili a curvatura Gaussiana costante" under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Perotti, with final grade 110 cum laude.
- 2014-2019: I graduated from high school at "Liceo Scientifico Corradino D'Ascanio" (Montesilvano, PE) with final grade 100 cum laude.
